Are you ready for some football?

Oh joyous, joyous day! Tonight the NFL kicks off their season and millions rejoice. It feels like we’ve been waiting years rather than months for the start of the season but we no longer have to wait with the Giants taking on the Cowboys at home.

Get ready for the fun!

What to Watch: Volleyball

The men’s volleyball team began defending their 2008 gold medal today against Serbia.  The won in convincing fashion winning three straight sets. What I discovered today is USA’s Matthew Anderson. 25 years old, 6’9” and is expected to be the future of outside hitting for US volleyball. He needs to work on his serve but he’s kind of got it….

What to Watch: Men’s Gymnastics

I never thought I would say Men’s Gymnastics is on my need to watch list, BUT that was before I saw the US Men’s Gymnastics Team. Besides being incredibly talented, and hopefully well on their way to winning Olympic glory, they’re really cute. (And yes, it doesn’t hurt that the muscle action is fantastic. Be still my heart.)

Team USA Men’s Basketball.

For two weeks even players I openly have sports hate for are on my team. It’s all about Team USA, the great pictures they keep posting of each other sleeping on the bus, and the quest for the gold medal. I don’t think it will be that easy this year with the increased competition from teams like Argentina, Spain, even Brazil but it will be really fun to watch.

Why I Love the Olympics…

6 days until the Olympics and I can’t wait. I love the Olympics. I’ve always loved the Olympics. The whole world is captivated for those few weeks. It’s exciting. And it only happens every four years. One of the reasons I love the Olympics: Ryan Lochte (especially after the hair cut). See below…enough said.
